This project is an existing house ready for a major renovation but surrounded by a very rich and well established garden.

The orientation of new rooms, both in and outdoors and new protected deck areas are all related to views, access to sun and special vegetation in the existing garden.

Heavy insulation to floors, walls, ceilings and high level burglar-proof cross-ventilation gives a healthy and energy efficient interior environment.

Roof water is collected in rotating gutters (for ease of cleaning) and a major portion cascades down to a pond near the entry.

Within a few months after completion and after a great deal of care by the owners the garden has been restored close to the home in such a way that the rebuilt home has become part of its environment.
