Replacing a tired workshop and showroom with a two storey

Project Description:
While retaining the lower storey concrete floor, the block work boundary walls including the reuse of existing but reversed trusses the building has become an easily recognised office in Wynyard, Tasmania. The offices use natural and adjustable ventilation and maximum sun penetration in the colder months, while the overhanging roof shade the windows during the summer. A strip of roof lights on the southern side of the building provide additional daylight to both floors. Future solar panels covering the roof area will reduce the energy costs of the building further.
